Lyn Ryan Lim is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Management, with a focus in Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand. She earned two graduate degrees both of which were awarded with distinction, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the Asian Institute of Management in Makati, Philippines. Her undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines also a Licensed Chemical Engineer. She has expanded her learning through certification in Engineering Project Management, Project Management Principles & Practices, Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt, and Operations Management from prominent institutions like Rice University, University of California, Irvine, University System of Georgia, and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
With over 21 years of extensive experience, Lyn has established a career across multinationals fast moving consumer goods industries, medical devices, academe and consulting. She worked as Head of Research & Development at Orthopaedic International, Inc., developing innovative medical devices, managing the team and quality standards. During her tenure, she was able to manage projects that received funding from government grants under the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) which paved the way for innovations in trauma and orthopedic systems. As a Product Change Manager with Kraft Foods, she led product innovations that won her such prestigious accolades as Project of the Year, Best Product Innovation, Best Project in Conceptualization and Communication in Cheese and Beverage categories. Her earlier experience at Nestlé involved leading cross-market supply chain initiatives and project management, managing numerous regional projects across Asia, Oceania, Africa and Middle East regions where she achieved a remarkable 124% Inter-Market Stock Service Level KPI and garnered multiple awards in SINAG (Structured Implementation of Nestle Activities for Growth) projects. Lyn’s achievements reflect her consistent excellence and strategic impact. She has driven significant waste reduction, enhanced product launches and developed innovative solutions in product management.
In addition to her industry roles, Lyn has provided consultancy services with a U.S. firm specializing in benchmarking and best practices for Fortune 500 companies. This role involved delivering strategic process improvements and performance measurement across various sectors. At De La Salle University, where she teaches and mentors students in engineering and management disciplines, her academic accomplishments as a Professorial Lecturer further demonstrate her dedication to education and professional growth. Lyn’s professional disposition is characterized by a commitment to leadership, collaborative success, and fostering an engaging workplace culture, aligning seamlessly with her goal of driving organizational growth and success.
